Barcelona

The Catalan capital is located approximately 100 km from the centre of the Baix Empordà. It can be reached by public transport (train or coach) or by car via the A-7 motorway.

Barcelona is an outstanding city for many reasons, and is considered one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities. An Olympic venue, twice the host of Universal Expositions, and the unquestioned focal point of Gaudí’s architecture, it is an essential visit for anyone setting foot in Catalonia.

We suggest you get to know a number of different but undeniably attractive places of the city: the Rambla, the Gothic Quarter, the Pedrera building, the Olympic Village, the Montjuïc fountains, the Liceu opera house, the modernist buildings designed by Gaudí, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Cathedral, the Sagrada Família (Holy Family Temple), the Picasso Museum or the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), among many others.

And don’t forget to make a tour of Barcelona’s commercial area, a must for all serious shoppers!
